


Although the IPA-equivalent phonetic symbol for each Phonemie can be displayed using the tech, the actual IPA symbols are not usually shown in resources for children. In this example, secondary school pupils at a specialist school for autistic learners in Australia were trialling some of the technology, and the IPA symbols were visible only for their SALTs (speech and language therapists).
